Our traditional ox gall is highly purified and clarified it doesn t smell bad and works much better than all the other products on the market. Blend 2 1 2 tablespoons of powder for one gallon of water. Wait for the bubbles dissipate at least for 6 hours. Ox gall is used as the expanding and binding medium for the colors used in marbling of paper and other materials.
As accordingly a paint with too much ox gall will not allow other colors to spread atop it. It is just a fluid ranging from dark brown to near colourless which sometimes smells bitter.
