Painting Over Vinyl Letters On Wood
I ve seen many with custom motorcycles attempt a clear coat over top of the vinyl decals and with excellent success.
Painting over vinyl letters on wood. Try a vinyl with a solvent adhesive. Scrape it down really well to adhere it well and form a good seal. If the vinyl letters are coming up with the transfer tape give it some time and or moisten the tape. Hi jenn i don t have a personal recommendation for you because i don t seal over vinyl.
If you re going to be painting a background color you can use a white or gray primer. Paint inside the indent. Mod podge your vinyl stencil on your wood sign. I would do a few tests with one of the sealers i use in this post.
