Oreck Hard To Push On Carpet

We thought that maybe the vaccum was worn out.

Oreck hard to push on carpet. There is an attachment available for this called the pile attachment the cost is 10 99 at your local oreck store it just clicks on the bottom of the vacuum and prevents the carpet from rapping around the brush. I tried vacuum on lineolem flooring and it worked quite well. No loss of suction. I ve cleaned it out.

I m not sure what else to look at. It is very hard to push the vaccum over the carpet. I then tried it on carpeting and though it seemed to push easier it still felt like there was something holding it back. Thanks look at 3 things 015 012 1 is there something wrapped around the rear 015 012wheels or axles 015 012 2 is there something wrapped around the small front wheels or axles.

So 6 months ago we purchased another oreck xl plus and we still have the same problem. The vacuum does not have an adjustment. You cannot use the oreck on high pile carpets. Is there anything i can do.

I ve made sure the brush is spinning. This happens on all of that kind of carpet in the house. We ve had an oreck xl for a long time. Block the air flow and the vacuum seals itself to the carpet and is hard to push.

For a vacuum cleaner to glide easily on a carpet air must flow into the nozzle and through the machine. Most vacuums have height settings. Its what i would consider medium length and medium density carpet. However there are a few other problems that can cause a vacuum to be hard to push and they can be easily resolved.

I do appreciate all you are doing on my behalf. It is hard enough to push that my wife can t use it and i have to do the vaccuming and it is even hard for me. It s been great but recently has become hard to push. Sometimes a vacuum can suddenly become hard to push.

If i were to vacuum in any other direction its fine. Any frieze or shag carpets can start to rap around the roller brush due to the long length and make the vacuum very hard to push. Oreck xl hard to push. My vacuum is hard to push or pull on my carpet in my bedroom on only one direction.

If the propulsion mechanism has failed this is unfortunately something you probably can t fix yourself. My oreck has in the last 2 weeks become very hard to push on carpet ok on bare floors.
